L’Oréal Glow Mon Amour Highlighting Drops – A Review

Product Details: 01 Sparkling Love 15ml €13.99 I’m big into glowing liquid highlighters and or primers at the moment! So when I spotted L’Oréal’s offerings I said I’d give it a whirl. The dropped on this (as on a lot of products unfortunately)is very messy. Product builds up all over it so I just swipe… Continue reading L’Oréal Glow Mon Amour Highlighting Drops – A Review

Wet n Wild MegaGlo Liquid Highlighter – A Review.

This Highlighter is another Wet n Wild product I went on the hunt for as soon as I heard it was released in Ireland. I’d seen Youtubers across the water raving about them and was keen to give them a go. I picked up two shades , Halo Goodbye and Guilded glow. Both are lovely… Continue reading Wet n Wild MegaGlo Liquid Highlighter – A Review.

Declutter No 6 – Face Products

My Declutter continues! This post will focus on face products and it’s a long one!

Essence Mosaic Blushes:

I picked up a peach and pink in these blushes. They are pretty on initial application but they just don’t last.

Penney’s (Primark) K Pop Cloud Cream Blush:

The hole that dispenses the product on this was too large for a start. The product that came out was quite separated , a lot of water/oily substance . And again it just didn’t last on the cheeks. Cute idea though and dirt cheap.

No 7 Loose Powder:

I’ve come to the realisation that I am not a fan of loose powder. I find it ages me. And as I’m already old enough thank you very much I don’t need any help in that department!

I’ve kept on to my Laura Mercier Powder as it cost so damn much!! I’ll make it work!!

Kat Von D Lock It Loose Powder:

Same reason as above.

Sephora Beauty Amplifier Smoothing & Brightening Powder:

I picked this up when I was in Sephora France cause I forgot to bring a powder with and I was curious about Sephora own brand.

It was OK. A bit too white for me. But I prefer my Catrice & Essence Pressed Powders.

Essence Sun Club Matt Bronzing Powder:

I have waaaaay too many bronzers and had to cull some! So I started with this one.

As far as Matt bronzers go, this is a great budget version. But it had been languishing in my collection as I was reaching for the Physicians Formula Butter Bronzer or the Benefit Hoola Bronzer so I wanted to pass it on to someone else before it expired!

Max Factor Bronzer:

I picked this one up because 1. I love the blushes from the same range and 2. I wanted something a bit more glowy for spring / summer.

Unfortunately it just didn’t blow me away and I have no room in my collection for mediocrity.

Millie MacIntosh Bronzer:

I got this in a set last Christmas. It was actually a pretty decent bronzer but like with the essence I just wasn’t reaching for it.

Wet n Wild Photo Focus Powder:

This is a prime example of a “youtuber made me buy it”. I saw on a channel a youtuber say that this powder in the darkest colour works well as a bronzer in a pinch. And sure , it does. But I’m never in a pinch!!! I worry about myself sometimes.

Catrice Glow Mineral Highlighting Powder:

Like with the bronzers I have way too many highlighters. I went trough them all and wore them for a day to see which I wanted to keep and what I wanted to let go of.

This one didn’t make the cut. It’s a more subtle highlight and I found it disappeared completely as the day progressed.

Kiko Eyeshadow:

I picked this up when I was in Kiko in France. I thought it would make a nice highlighter. And it would, just not on my skin tone. I’m too pale for it 11 months of year!!

Wet n Wild Mega Glo Contouring Palette in Dulce De Leche :

I’m just not that into contouring and if I do I prefer cream products or to use Benefit Hoola Powder Bronzer. As for the yellow powder, I never touched it, way too dark for me.

NYX Highlight & Contour palette:

A fool and their money soon parts! Am I a make artist? No. Do I need more than I shade of anything? NO!! So why , other than I’m a fool, did I buy this.

I kept one of the cooler toned shades as it is a good contour shade but the rest were either too warm or too dark for me.

The Matt face powders weren’t nice on and the highlighters weren’t great either!

E.L.F. Contour, Bronzer, Highlighter & Blush Palettes:

I was so curious about these as I had heard so many American youtubers talk so highly of them. So as soon as them came to Ireland I picked these up.

The highlighters I didn’t get, the colours were odd. Some of the bronzer / contour shades were too warm or too dark and patchy on application. The blushes were ok.

Overall I just wasn’t blown away by these. It wouldn’t tempt me to buy more from the brand to be honest.

I’ll tell you what my collection is really starting to thin out and I’m enjoying what I have more!
