Declutter no 1 of 2018

So before I started on my Project Pan for this year I decided to do a bit of a declutter Of Products I either don’t like or are gone bad.

Essence Longlasting Eyeliner in Green: This transferred to my bottom lash line and has been in my collection for a while.

Catrice Lip Contour & Colour: I love the idea of this, it’s so convenient. But the colour just wasn’t flattering on me.

No 7 Stay Perfect Liquid Eyeliner: I’m just not skilled enough at Liquid Eyeliner for this. Gel liner is where it’s at for me.

No 7 Stay Perfect Smoothing Eyeshadow: I actually really liked this product but I’ve had it for a few years and the smell has changed so I’m not willing to risk putting it on my eyes. I had used at least half and would consider repurchasing it when I’ve worked through others like it in my stash.

L’Oréal Infallible 24hr Matte: First And foremost this colour is a tad too light and in a thicker formula it is more emphasized. It looked a bit like a mask on me. I also noticed it clinging to some dry patches.

Wet n Wild Megaclear Brow Mascara: I know that technically this is still ok to use but I hate the look of it! It’s a pity cause it’s a great product. Just wish the bottle wasn’t clear so I wasn’t icked out by it.

Max Factor Excess Shimmer Eye Creams in Bronze & Copper: Look there is no one to blame here but myself. The title gave it away! There was just too much glitter in these for me. I noticed glitter all over my face. The swatches don’t show it, which is how I got caught out! Such a pity cause the bronze in particular is a beautiful colour.

Rimmel Gel Eyeliner: This has been in my collection for a while and I never reach for it. I have the Inglot Gel liner that I much prefer.

Barry M Liquid Chrome: I bought this before Christmas thinking it would be gorgeous for the festive season. But there is just way too much glitter in this for my liking. My olde skin isn’t able for it!

Wet n Wild Berry Shimmer Blush: I bought this a number of years ago as a dupe and while it is nice I have nicer in my collection that I want to focus on. I just didn’t like it on me.

Do you declutter often? I personally have too much currently in my collection which needs to be thinned out. I only want products in my collection that suit me and I enjoy using.

Max Factor Facefinity All Day Flawless 3 in 1 Foundation Review

What is with products long ass titles these days! Seriously!!

Claims:

The foundation primes the skin with a flexi-hold technology that creates a strong yet lightweight film which sits comfortably on the skin. Next, micro-correctors within the formula operate like little mechanics to defend against external influencers like sweat and sebum, correcting and maintaining the look over time whilst preventing shine.

And lastly, the foundation formula with SPF20 delivers an all-day high coverage, matte finish thanks to the oil absorbency of particles which helps to minimise the level of non-volatiles on the skin surface.

I love that it has a Pump. It makes life so much easier when dispensing. I really don’t understand why all foundations in this day & age can’t have one.

It has a Medium thickness and I would also say a medium coverage. When I use a brush to apply it I notice a lot of brush strokes so I usually apply with the brush first & then blend out with a damp sponge for a better finish.

I felt that it highlighted a lot of texture that I hadn’t really noticed on my skin prior to applying it. Also emphsised the hairs on my face both dark & light.

I don’t think it layers well, it can become quite cakey & sit into lines on the forehead, around the nose & just under the lip on the chin. So I would recommend a thinner layer.

So with regards to the claims;

The foundation primes the skin with a flexi-hold technology that creates a strong yet lightweight film which sits comfortably on the skin.

I don’t think this acts as a primer, I definitely feel like a primer needs to be worn underneath to help with it sinking into the lines on my old face!

Next, micro-correctors within the formula operate like little mechanics to defend against external influencers like sweat and sebum, correcting and maintaining the look over time whilst preventing shine.

It does last well but I definitely get shiny in my T-Zone as the day goes on (around the 5hr mark) and then eventually breaks down in this area as well around the 8 hour mark.

And lastly, the foundation formula with SPF20 delivers an all-day high coverage, matte finish thanks to the oil absorbency of particles which helps to minimise the level of non-volatiles on the skin surface.

I love that this has SPF in it. Mainly cause in the late autumn/winter/early spring I’m not great at wearing SPF. But like I said already it doesn’t stay matte all day on me in my T-Zone.

So in summary. This foundation is OK for me. I’ll continue to use it. The colour matches me well & there is enough right with it for me to use it up. But I don’t think I’d repurchase it.

Bourjois Lip Products That I’m Loving

Bourjois Rouge Laque liquid lipstick:

These lippies are amazing. I was so surprised. They go on so smoothly, can be layered up, and as they wear off, which of course they do (16 hours , yeah I don’t think so), they leave a beautiful stain on the lips.

They are extremely pigmented, the tip on the wand helps make it easy to apply it around the edge of the lips. They dry down quickly, have a bit of a sweet smell & taste but not too in your face. They stay shiny & comfortable on the lips.

Their Lip liners are amazing. They are so soft & creamy & just glide on the lips. They are beautifully pigmented. As you can see I am collecting them all cause I love them that much. According to the website they are supposed to last up to 12hrs which is complete rubbish but most of those kind of claims are but that doesn’t stop my from loving them.

I know these look similar, & they probably are but I regret nothing 🙂

Have you tried any of these? I’m thinking now I need to go back & buy all the lip products from this range!!
