Now, before I start in on the review, I must disclose that to be fair it states on the product that it is oil free and oil controlling.
But, I wanted it cause I’d heard so many glowing reviews and I really wanted to try a Too Faced Foundation.
It comes in a nice tube with a pump on it which is always pleasing.
It’s a medium consistency, not too thick and not too thin.
It’s has a gorgeous scent to it, sweet but not sickly and it doesn’t linger on the skin.
When I first tried it on its own I found it to be quite dry on the skin. It definitely has a matte finish. Too matte for me to be honest. I prefer a dewy finish.
It is very long lasting which is great but it highlights any dry patches I have.
It’s a bit tacky on the skin but I’m reluctant to Powder it as it’s dry enough already.
But, having said that , I started mixing it with more dewy foundations. And I have to say I am loving the combo.
I still have a dewy finish but I also have the benefit of a long lasting foundation. I find while I love dewy foundations short term they tend to slide off my face in the long term.
Before / After
Full Face , natural light.
So even though I’m not it’s biggest fan of it on its own I absolutely love it as a mixer!
Have you tried this foundation? Do you like it? Do you like to mix and match your foundations? What’s your favourite combo if you do?
