I’m dead chuffed how focused I was on using up products this year. I started with my oldest and worked my way through. Didn’t open something new until the old item was finished. It didn’t stop me from buying mind you but I am getting better with it.
On to the post, this one will focus on Skincare empties.
Clinique Take The Day Off Cleansing Balm:
I have to say that this was a huge win for me. I’d read and heard so many talk highly about this and often wondered if the hype could possibly be real, and let me tell you, it is!
This absolutely melts my make up off. We’re talking waterproof mascara, the lot!
I’ve tried other balms but this one is the best so far in my opinion. It doesn’t sting my eyes at all, removes 99% of my makeup and doesn’t leave me skin tight or uncomfortable.
It’s expensive, the one downside to it , but, unfortunately for my wallet, it’s worth it.
Repurchase? : Yes
No 7 Soft & Soothed Gentle Toner:
This is a regular in my empties. I just find it to do exactly what it says on the bottle. I particularly enjoy it as my morning toner, or if I’ve used a clay mask.
Repurchase? : Already have.
Garnier Skin Active Soothing Botanical Toner:
This was fine but I wouldn’t go out of my way to get it again. I much prefer the No 7.
Repurchase? : No
Caudalie Beauty Elixir:
I’d heard a lot of people including some celebrities rave about this product and I’m not rightly sure why. It did the same as any other facial mist I’ve used. If anything the smell of it was off putting. I just didn’t noticed any miracles happening.
Caudalie Grape Water:
As far as I’m concerned this did just as much as the elixir did for a fraction of the cost. Even so the scent was still too off puting to tempt me again.
B. Refreshed Essence Lotion:
This is the first and only budget essence that I have come across. I wish there were more on the market. This was OK. It stung a little bit which I didn’t expect from an essence and which I haven’t noticed in the essence I am currently using.
Nip & Fab Glycolic Daily Cleansing Pads:
These are another regular in my empties post. I’ve since tried a cheaper version from Superdrug but they just aren’t a patch on these. These are one of those products that I always miss from my routine.
Repurchase?: Already have
And Finally Face Wipes. I don’t use these on my face but for cleaning my hands of foundation etc when I’m getting ready and swatches. I’ve tried to move away from any that aren’t biodegradable and have moved to the Bioderma Baby Wipes.
