I’m finally making some head way with my make up Project pan! So this Empties post will focus on make up empties!
Clarin’s Instant Concealer in 01 – This is one of the biggest concealers I have in my collection at 15ml. Most are at lease half this size. So it’s great value for money. It took nearly 2 1/2 years to get through it. I find that it is lovely on the under eyes, moisturising & brightening. It creases a little bit but what doesn’t. I’ve even used as a light foundation on occasion on no make up make up days.
Repurchase? Yes when I’ve run through my current collection.
Maybelline The Colossal Big Shot Volume Express Mascara Waterproof – I did NOT like this …at the start. I couldn’t understand why Influencers were raving about it. It was too wet & went everywhere & did nothing special to my lashes. BUT… As this dried out a bit I started to come around to it. It didn’t hold a curl but it did make my lashes look fuller & longer. So the lesson I learned here is if at first I don’t like a mascara, give it a while to dry out a bit and re-assess.
Repurchase? hmmmmm Maybe
Wet n Wild Megalength Waterproof Mascara: This was a nice enough mascara for the bottom lashes. Mine are tiny & so need a tiny brush which this has (in that it’s extremely thin but still long) I’ve since moved onto the Clinique Bottom Lash Mascara & although 3 times the price I am loving it.
Repurhcase? Yes if I run out of my more expensive one and am broke!
Benefit Gimme Brow in 3 and 5 Eyebrow Mascara – These were mini’s I got free with Magazines. They were fine but no better than budget versions.
Repurchase? – No
Make Me Brow in 02 Browny Brow Eyebrow Mascara – This is the perfect example of a budget version just as good if not better than the one above. This is a couple of quid and is perfect. The brush is nice and small & easy to brush across the brows. My brows don’t feel crunchy & stay in place pretty much all day.
Repurchase ? – Yes
Charlotte Tilbury Lipliner in Pillow Talk – While this is a lovely colour I don’t think this is worth the €20 price tag. It does go on smoothly but so does my Bourjois liner for half the price. The most frustrating thing about this was that it was impossible to sharpen. The nib would keep falling off EVERY.SINGLE.TIME!!! I’ve put it in the fridge beforehand & bought the best of sharpeners but it was a bit of a disaster & for the price , disappointing.
Repurchase ? No
