My Second empties post of 2018 will focus on Make up & Shower empties!
Catrice HD Liquid Coverage Foundation: I really really liked this. It gave great coverage and lasted the majority of my working day. Downside is that this is the lightest colour (the shade range is shockingly poor) and it is a bit dark so I really need to bring it down my neck or be self tanned. Even though the coverage was quite full I never felt like I looked caked. It was easy to build up coverage where needed and the consistency was quite liquid. It didn’t grab onto any dry patches which is good at this time of the year. If I recall it cost me less that €8.00. Win Win.
Repurchase? Yes in the summer time if I have got through my current stash.
Essence Instant Matt Setting Spray: This is such a good and affordable setting spray. I used it on my sponge once I had my foundation & concealer on to really lock it in place and then spritzed it all over when I had all my powder products on. The only thing is, is that I prefer a bit of a glow with my setting sprays like the NYX Dewy Finish & Pixi Glow Mist. But if I have a lot of glow on through my primers etc, or perhaps in the summer when I am oiler this is perfect.
L’Oreal Voluminous Extra Black:I picked this up cause I had really liked the regular one but what I didn’t realise was that this wasn’t water proof & so smudged all over the place 😦
Repurchase? Not this version
Rimmel Lipsticks from the Kate Moss Collection: I had these in 45 & rock n roll nude. 45 Was a browny pink nude & the rock n roll was more pink. They were pretty enough but I did find them to be quite drying especially towards the end of the tube.
Repurchase? Not at the moment as I have WAY too many lipsticks to get through!
Malin & Goetz Lip Balm: I got this free with a magazine a while back & really enjoyed it. It was a clear gel that I didn’t think would do much but it really seemed to protect my lips from the elements.
Repurchase: Yes if it was easier to buy but I’ve not seen it in any shops here.
Yves Rocher Bath & Shower Gel in Coconut: I used this for the bath & absolutely loved it. It smells gorgeous without been overpowering. It was lovely in the bath, bubbles lasted ages & my skin felt lovely after getting out. The only downside is I have to wait until I go back to France next year to pick up more but I will be filling the boot!
Yves Rocher Bath & Shower Gel in Ylang Ylang:I used this one in the shower & again it smelt gorgeous and felt lovely on the skin.
Rituals Foaming Gel in Yogi Flow: I had heard about Rituals for so long & when I finally had a chance to pick something up I was delighted. But I just didn’t see what the fuss was about. It smelt as good as any another & my skin didn’t feel particularly better after use. Maybe this wasn’t the right one to start with.
