I was intrigued by this when I first saw it. I’m a sucker for a gimmick & the applicator on this is certainly that. I picked up the colour 101 Classic Ivory.
Claims: Rimmel’s most lightweight longwearing formula.
It perfects your skin with light to medium buildable coverage. It is enriched with breathable skin technology and moisturises for up to 25h. Up to SPF 20.
I have to say right off the bat that I agree with the claims on this. It is definitely medium coverage and feels like nothing on the skin. The finish is lovely, not matte & not dewy but some lovely place in between. I can still see my skin but the tone is evened out beautifully. I used a flat top kabuki brush to apply it. Normally my rotuine would be then to go over the top with my beauty sponge but I really didn’t feel the need to with this.
This was a fantastic colour match for me as well. I don’t think I’ve ever had a colour match so well. It’s as if it has some colour adapting quality to it. I had primer down on one side & none on the other but to be honest I didn’t feel like there was much difference, it worked just as well on bare skin.
I had two major raspers (spots) that it didn’t fully cover but it did diminish their appearance. I always,ALWAYS powder my skin after foundation but I just didn’t feel the need with this! What is this wizardry??
And as for the 25hrs, I can’t say & I don’t really know anyone that can but it definitely lasted beautifully for a full 8 hours on me which never happens. Foundations usually break up around my nose & chin & need to be powdered but this still looked lovely.
This has to be one of the best foundations I’ve tried in a long time, both from Rimmel & just in general. Rimmel hasn’t been where it’s at for me for foundation but this has changed my mind. My only complaint is that the applicator drips a bit when pulling it out of the bottle but now I know that I can keep an eye out for it. I would highly recommend this foundation.
