Urban Decay Naked Skin Concealer in Light Neutral- Review

This is one of those Holy Grail Concealers that people seem to revere & I really wanted to give it a go without buying the full size, so when I saw this travel size I snapped it up & eagerly put it to work hoping for a miracle worker. I set myself up for a fall.

Claims: ‘Naked Skin’ weightless complete coverage concealer gives you buildable, even coverage with a luminous, demi matte finish. Ultra lightweight, this high tech formula melds like a second skin effect and gives full coverage in an instant. For complete coverage, just keep building no matter how much you apply. It blends beautifully and won’t settle into fine lines. It improves skin’s youthful look and elasticity. Japanese green tea revitalises and helps to reduce appearance of fine lines and giving brighter, radiant complexion. It is enriched with matrixyl 3000, green tea, litchiderm derived from lychee and sodium hyaluronate. This travel friendly concealer comes in a gorgeous bottle like a smaller version of our ‘Naked Skin’ liquid make up component. The modern flocked applicator lays down just the right amount of product and it’s soft enough to use on the delicate skin under eyes. It comes in a range of meticulously calibrated shades that coordinate with ‘Naked Skin’ powder foundation.

I quite like the flat applicator. It makes it very easy to apply the product to the skin. It applied nicely and I used my sponge to blend it in. It looked ooohhhkkaaayyyy. The colour was a bit too dark for my under eyes. I’m assuming there is lighter available as to be fair to Urban Decay they tend to have a wide range.

I traveled on and put some around my nose where I get redness, on my chin & forehead & on one or two spots that I had.

When I looked back at my eyes I was horrified! I had turned into a crone!!!! This was just so incredibly drying on me. It emphasised lines so badly. As I really examined my face I saw that it was emphasising dry patches and just wasn’t looking pretty.

I think what this was best for on my skin was for spot concealing. It really did cover the one or two that I had & really hung on all day.

I Just can’t agree with this at all at least not on me & my skin. I’m so glad now that I got the travel size as I would have been so disappointed if I had spent the money on the full size.

Is this a holy grail product for you? Are you ancient with loads of fine lines or a youngster still in the first bloom of youth? I’d love to know how you made it work for you.
