This is such a hyped product on YouTube at the moment (under the American title Lash Paradise – why do brands do that??!!) It is the dupe of the season but more on that later.
Take your lashes to paradise with intense volume and spectacular length. The Ultra-Soft brush coats lashes with a silky smooth formula; enriched with lash-loving castor oil. Lashes feel feather-soft; without any flaking.
– 90% saw intense & volumised lashes*
– +98% lengthening effect**
– 91% agree it doesn’t flake*
*Consumer trial on 107 women / **Instrumental test on 24 women
How to use
Comb the Ultra-Soft brush through lashes by moving back and forth from root to tip. Layer multiple coats for even more volume.
The packaging is very pretty but it also feels extremely light, a lot lighter than other mascara’s I own even from this brand. I love the rose gold finish to it.
On removing the wand from the tube there is, as you might be able to make out from the above picture ,a big gunk of extra product. And this happens every time.
When applying it it is a bit crunchy if that makes sense, so the claims “The Ultra-Soft brush coats lashes with a silky smooth formula;” didn’t ring true for me.
The lashes do clump together which I guess translates as Volume but I’m not really a fan of that look, I prefer my lashes to look separated. They did look thick & full and quite striking. I think I just need to get used to that look.
As to the non flake claims, I find this to be true, but there was transfer to the under eye after about 5 hours.
And on to the Too Faced Better Than Sex dupe claims. As you can see the brushes are very similar. The Too Faced is a bit more curvy. But that for me is where the similarities end. I personally feel that the L’Oreal is a better formula. The TF Better Than Sex flaked horrendously on me.
Overall I would say that this isn’t my favourite Mascara in the world but I will use it up. But I very much doubt I’ll be repurchasing.
Have you tried this? Do you like it? Do you think it’s a dupe? I’d love to know 🙂
