Empties: What I’ve Used Up and Would I Repurchase.

La Roche-Posay Cicaplast Baume B5: This is an extremely thick moisturiser. I used it mainly in the winter time if my skin was particularly dry. I’d lather it on at night & by morning all dry patches would be gone.

Bioderma Cicabio Creme: I picked this up when I was in France. It is more of a targeted cream than a moisturiser. I’d use it when my skin was aggravated, anywhere from my face to my bikini line & would have most issues in hand by morning. It is a funny colour which alarmed me at first as I thought I’d gotten a bad one, but no, it’s supposed to look like this.

Repurchase?:Yes

Trilogy Vital Moisturising Cream: Rose is on the rise again as an ingredient in skincare but I have to say I don’t care for the scent so much & it is quite strong in this. It went on fine but I have to say I wasn’t blown away by it.

Repurchase?:No

Estee Lauder Revitalizing Supreme: I’m not usually a fan of scented face creams but this was divine! It really deep sensual scent IMO. It is quite thick so I used it at night & it gave very good hydration to the skin. This was a sample size that I bought in a kit & I would consider buying the full size.

Repurchase?:Maybe if I had the money!

L’oreal Youth Code – Night: On first application it seemed to sting my skin, some nights so much so that I had to wash it off! I re-purposed it as a foot cream & used it up that way.

Repurchase?:No

Clinique Superdefense SPF 20: This is geared towards people with dry/combo skin. I like that it has SPF in it but as it is so thick I preferred to use it at night. It was hydrating but there was nothing special in it IMO.

Repurchase?:No

Trilogy Rosehip Oil Antioxidant: Maybe I should have but I didn’t use this every single night, but when I did there was only a slight difference, nothing life changing. My favourite thing about it was that it encouraged me to massage my face more. The smell from this wasn’t as strong as the moisturiser, it was much more subtle.

Superdrug Naturally Radiant Brightening Hot Cloth Cleanser: I have to say this was a real surprise, I loved it. It has a pleasant smell. You can rub it right into the eyes & it doesn’t sting even a tiny bit. I use it to double cleanse & it takes every last bit of make up off whether it be a long lasting greasy foundation & full eye makeup. My pad with toner on it came away spotless &  my skin felt clean but never tight. This really is a fantastic budget cleanser. Nearly better than higher end ones as it so affordable and does just as good a job.

Superfacialist by Una Brennan Rose Hydrate Calming Creamy Cleanser: This is a gorgeous cleanser. It cleans my skin & leaves it feeling soft & smooth & always looks very calm & never irritated. I really love this.

Repurchase?:Yes

M&S Formula Time Defy Radiant Cleanser Hyaluronic Acid Thermal Exfoliating Polish: Really could they not think of any more words to throw into the name!!!! I enjoyed this while I was using it & actually miss it but I have made a hard decision this year to stop using physical exfoliates & move to acids. It warmed up on contact & had tiny exfoliates in it that really cleaned & smoothed the skin. But NO MORE!

Repurchase?:No

Botanics Hot Cloth Cleanse Balm: It would seem on the grapevine that this has been discontinued & I can understand why. It was awful. Extremely thick in consistency, and stunk to high heaven! You’d warm it up in your hands to make it into an oil and then apply it to the face. It felt horrible on & even when removed my skin felt like there was a layer of scum still on it. Rotten! Couldn’t finish it!

Repurchase?:HELL NO!!!

Nivea Firming Body Oil: This is my third bottle of this & I will definitely be buying a fourth. It dries quickly but not too quickly. You have enough time to  massage a little bit if wanted. But you don’t have to wait ages for it to sink in. I like the smell of it & it leaves my skin super smooth.

Bio Oil: This is an oldie but a goodie. Some people have a serious issue with the smell of this, but while not the most pleasant, it doesn’t bother me. I’ve been a die hard advocate of this since I had an operation on my back & used this on the scar which is now nearly completely gone. My favourite way to use it is in the bath. I come out silky smooth.

Repurchase?:Yes

Clarins Extra-Firming Body Lotion: I’m not sure about firming but this smells gorgeous. It sinks in fast & my skin felt so soft & smooth.

Nip & Fab Exfoliate Glycolic Fix Daily Cleansing Pads: I’m on my third tub of these. I use them at night as part of my routine.  I’m not sure what if anything they do but I just feel like I miss them when I don’t have them!

Repurchase?:Already did.

Nivea Q10 Plus Anti Wrinkle Eye Cream: What can I say? T’was grand like. Nothing special. All that I noticed was that it was hydrating & that’s pretty much all I expect from eye creams if I’m being honest.

Repurchase?:NO

Cicaplast Lip Balm: This is my second one of these. I don’t think I’ll pick up a third unless I see it on offer. I’ve started using the Dr Paw Paw lip balm instead and find it better value for the amount you get.

Repurchase?:No

Max Factor Facefinity All Day Primer SPF 20: I really enjoyed this. I feel like it helps my make up last although I’m never truly sure that any of these primers do anything! I enjoy it’s moisturising properties. It does nothing for pores though so if that’s your goal then this isn’t for you.

Repurchase?:Already Did.

So. Have you tried any of these products? Did you like or loath them? Id love to know 🙂
