Blue Nail Polish – My New Nail Obsession

Sally Hansen Miracle Gel in 370 Sugar Fix:

This is one of my favourites that I’ve tried so far. One coat is neatly enough, but two is perfection. It lasted me nearly five days with just one or two touch ups. It was between this & the Wet n Wild for the top spot.

Barry M Coconut Infusion Gel Nail Paint in Laguna.

The colour had already rubbed off the label after the first use so we were off to a great start. It says on the bottle to NOT use a base coat to avail of the benefits! Yeah, No. I never put on coloured nail polish on a bare nail.

This wasn’t very pigmented. I put on two coats but could really have used a third. It was a pretty colour but it chipped after a couple of days & just wasn’t a great one.

Essie Nail Lacquer in Bikini So Teeny.

This was the one I was looking forward to most. In the bottle it is a lovely pale blue with a hint of iridescence.

But on the nail it broke my heart. It was much darker than in the bottle. And there was no hint of that iridescence. Also it wasn’t consistent. One nail would be darker than the other & vice verse.

Since opening it it seems to have separated quite a bit. It’s practically navy at the top & just overall extremely disappointing. And the dearest of the bunch!!

Wet N Wild 1 Step Wonder Gel in Peri-Winkle Of An Eye:

And onto the cheapest of the bunch. This is wonderful value for money. It is a lovely colour, much lighter than on the bottle. Two coats are absolutely perfect. It lasted about three days before chipping.  I topped it up and it was fine.

When applying nail polish I always use a Base Coat, A Top Coat & Seche Vite.

Do you use blue nail polish? If not, will you now? If you do, any other brands or colours you’d recommend trying next? Please enable me 😉
