Empties -Stuff I’ve used up & would I Repurchase

This year I am really trying to focus on using up some of the products that have been lingering in my collection. I’ve been checking dates & compiling the products that are nearing expiry & trying to either use them or declutter them, these are stuff I’ve used up.

Catrice All Matt Plus Sine Control Make Up Foundation : As Budget Foundations go this wasn’t bad one, This was my first Catrice product that I bought & it opened me up to a really great brand. I have to say I prefer Catrice HD Liquid Coverage Foundation. But would never have found that if it weren’t for this! Wouldn’t Repurchase.

L’Oreal Infallible 24H Matte Foundation : I don’t know if it’s a case that they have changed the formula or if my tastes have broadened but the new one of this that I purchased I don’t like nearly as much as this one I bought over a year ago. Did Repurchase But Regret It Now.

Smashbox Photo Finish Primer Water: I really enjoyed this as far as about 3/4’s of the way through. The spray was a lovely fine mist, it was a lovely as both a base & fixing spray & so quick & easy to use. But for the last 1/4 or more the nozzle went to shit! It didn’t spray that lovely even mist any more which left actual drops on my make up that dried down. I’m very conflicted because up to this point it was heading for Holy Grail status. May Repurchase.

Vichy Eau Thermale Spa water: I  love to have these waters in my hand bag during the summer months to help freshen up the face & make up. This is one of the nicer ones I have used. Would Repurchase.

Elizabeth Arden Intensive Moisturising Hand Treatment : I am an absolute die hard 8 Hour Cream fanatic. This came as part of a kit with the original 8 Hour Cream & a Lip Balm. This hand cream was fine but I don’t think it is the worth it on it’s own. I have nicer & cheaper hand creams in my collection: Wouldn’t Repurchase.

La Roche-Posay Cicaplast Lip Balm: This does what it says but don’t think it’s anything particularly special. This is my second one but since I’ve discovered Dr Paw Paw’s balm I think that’ll be me go to from now on. Wouldn’t Repurchase.

Trilogy Rosapene Night Cream: This was pleasant enough. Smelled really nice & felt good on the skin. I got it with a kit for the Oil & day cream. I have to honest I don’t really see what all the fuss was about. It’s definitely not worth the €34 price tag IMO Wouldn’t Repurchase.

Garnier Oil Beauty Oil Infused Body Lotion: This was a nice moisturiser with a nice scent. It sank in pretty nicely. More suited to bedtime than first thing in the morning if you are rushing to put on clothes. Would Repurchase.

The Body Shop Coconut Shimmer Body Butter: This smelled gorgeous & was lovely on the skin, giving a beautiful shimmer especially in the summer time. The only draw back is that you’re hands are then covered in this shimmer & glitter afterwards & can be a bit of a pain to get off. May Repurchase.

The Body Shop Argan Oil Body Butter: Smells divine & sinks nicely into skin but leaves a bit of a residue afterwards. May Repurchase.

Nivea Firming Body Oil: I love this & have repurchased a number of times,My Fav Body Oils more on it there:  Have Repurchased.

Garnier Summer Body Moisturising Lotion in Light & Deep : This is one of my absolute favourite developing tan moisturiser’s. I like the lighter one in the spring & then as we move into summer I switch into the deeper shade.  This smells lovely and develops nicely overnight. Have Repurchased.

PS Love This Make-Up Brush Cleaner: This is great for spot cleaning brushes & so affordable. Have Repurchased.

Roger & Gallet Citron Fresh Fragrant Water: I really enjoyed this in the summer months & really want to try more from the range. Would Repurchase.

Rimmel Wake Me Up Concealer: This was a nice concealer. I actually bought one for my Mum as well. It gives a nice finish & doesn’t settle in lines ….much! LOL everything settles in there. Would Repurchase.

Maybelline Instant Anti-Age The Eraser Eye Concealer: Oi with the long ass names! I know this is a cult favourite but I just didn’t get it. It was OK I guess but the sponge part of it really icks me out. It’s just so unhygienic to me & the product was good enough to make me want it again Wouldn’t Repurchase.

Estee Lauder Double Wear Light Stay in Place Foundation: This is a tough one, it could go from lovely coverage to cake face so easily. And if doing a full face of make up on top it could all go horribly wrong. I think maybe it was more than my makeup skills are capable of. May Repurchase.

Vichy Dermablend Foundation: Oh I am so fickle & hard to please. Most foundations I purchase have too little coverage for me and my needs  & this one had too much. I had heard of people using this as an under eye concealer but I didn’t really like it for this either but at least it finished it up for me. Wouldn’t Repurchase.

  1. I love these kinds of posts haha! Also I think I can save your problem with the Instant Age Rewind concealer, that was my issue too and then I saw someone pulled off the sponge and it just has a normal tube that the product comes out of, now I swear by it! Loved reading this x

  2. I loved reading this! It’s interesting to see opinions on products that I have tried and what other people think of them. For me I absolutely love the L’Oreal Foundation and it’s a shame that you don’t enjoy it anymore but your skin does change as well as you expectations. I adore the wake me up concealer from Rimmel, I forgot I had this and now I am seriously in love! xo

    1. Thank you 😊 that’s my favourite thing about these kind of posts, I love to see what other people loved or hated about products I’ve used, I even get tips sometimes on how to make something work and end up loving a product I previously disliked.
