March Un – Favourites

This month I didn’t have a lot of favourites but I did have a lot of un-favourites 😦 So I thought I’d share them.

Macadamia Oil Extract Body Butter: I have a full review of it here but short version is that it just sat on my skin like a film. I felt like I could scrape it off with my nails. Pretty picture I created there!

Waxperts Wonder Pads: I’d read some amazing reviews on this but just don’t get what the fuss is about. They are pads soaked in salicylic acid, rosemary and panthenol. They are made for ingrown hairs but lots of people were raving about how you put them on a spot at night & Hey Presto ! spot is gone! Sorry no. Spot is still a monstrosity on my face called Bert. Even on ingrown hairs they didn’t do as much as my Tea Tree Oil.

Essence All About Eyes Palette: While I really like the All About Roses Palette this one wasn’t a hit mainly due to the lack of matte shades. The colours are pigmented but just a bit too samey & sparkly.

Stay Perfect Eyeshadow Palette in Nude: This was underwhelming. The only matte is a cream colour. With them all being so similar in colour surely there could have been a matte transition colour??!!?? The shimmers were ok but nothing particularly special. Not creamy or highly pigmented.

Skin Illuminator Radiance Boosting Beauty Fluid: No! Just no! Too much use of glitter & the “brush” on top is horrendous! Either nothing comes out or loads does and the brush does not apply it nicely. I ended up cutting off the bristles so I could at least see what was coming out.

Essence Eyebrow Stylist: This was pretty awful. The worst part was the packaging. I thought it would slide out of the plastic container, but it comes apart and you are left with the powder in a flimsy light plastic sheath that is so rubbish. I could have got over all this if the product was good but its not. Essence  Eyebrow Kit Review

Barry M Matte Me Up Liquid Lipstick: This was more down to colour than a fault with the actual product. It looks pinker in the bottle than on the lips. It comes off like a rusty red which is not a good colour on me. Full review Barry M Matte Me Up Lip Kit

Max Factor Mascara Voluptuous False Lash Effect: This was just a bad mascara all round. The brush was finicky & the formula was flakey. Full review here
